About Friends of Huntington Primary Academy
Welcome to the
Friends of Huntington Primary Academy (FoHPA)
Who We Are
The Friends of Huntington Primary Academy are a team of committee members and volunteers. Our aim is to organise fun, social events that help to raise funds to enrich the school experience for the children and encourage community involvement for parents or carers through a committee or volunteering role.
If you have a child at Huntington Primary Academy you are automatically entitled to become a member of the FoHPA and you don't need to sign up for a committee role to attend meetings or help run events. Everyone is welcome, and all help is greatly appreciated. If you would like to get involved, please email the team: friends.of.huntington.primary@gmail.com

What We Do
We run two key events every year; the summer and Christmas fairs, as, well as smaller fundraisers such as the ‘2nd Hand Uniform Sale’, ‘Pre-Loved Books’ sales.
The aim of these events is to bring the school community closer together and give families the opportunity to meet within and across year groups.
More recently, The ‘Friends’ Committee has worked hard to raise additional funding to provide resources such as new reading books, Christmas theatre and magic productions, memory sticks for Year 6 leavers and school water bottles for all new starters and joiners. Currently new projects are in the planning stages.
How parents, grandparents and carers can become involved?
There are lots of ways you can actively help support the ‘Friends’ Committee :
- volunteer to help on a stall at an event (a great opportunity to meet others)
- help to organise an event (put yourself forward for either small or bigger tasks )
- become involved in the Friends committee in a named role or as a general member
We are always very keen to attract new people to join us, bringing fresh ideas and inspiration as the work of the Friends Committee is all part of the social learning experience that Huntington Primary Academy provides the children.
These days, we all tend to lead very busy lives so spare time is tight, but with so many different ways to get involved, there are options for everyone. It’s a fantastic way of socialising and becoming part of the school community so please do get in touch to find out how you can help or just come along to the next meeting.
